Title: Exhaust Warning Light Flashing
Post by: C4MKV on January 25, 2013, 10:47:39 am
As per the topic title, I was driving home on the motorway yesterday and a few miles from home the exhaust warning light started flashing on the dash. The car is booked in for service in a week, should I try and get to a garage quickly or is it likely to be something minor? I'm a wedding photographer and I need to do a 150 mile trip tomorrow, what's the likelyhood of me breaking down on the A1?!

I'm guessing here, but it's probably nothing to worry about immediately, if its the CEL light, might be a faulty lambda or cat going? Is the car standard?

Get the car scanned to know for sure...

No it's stage 2 remap, see my sig for the list. I drove the car today about 15 miles and the light didn't appear, all seems to be fine still. What exactly is a lambda?

Flashing EML is usually a missfire, so check plugs and coil packs.
