Title: New edition 30 owner.coming over from the jap scene.
Post by: Bainsy edition 30 on January 26, 2013, 08:56:33 am: Just got myself a white edition 30 dsg.coming from a 400 bhp evo 8 Fq.i thought I'd get golf in for stage 2.well I'm impressed.got a pflo intake.miltek non res.3" pipe werx down pipe and decat.uprated oem diverter valve.and a stage 2 remap.car feels awsome dsg remap has made an allready great box feel unreal.im saving now for s3 cooler and uprated pump.looking faward to meeting people in the vag seen now.also this site is spot on very helpfull.

My mates got a Evo 4 running about 380bhp fully forged engine, custom map etc etc, not had a chance to have a play with him yet but sure i am going to get beat... lol but time will tell..

Only stage 1 at the min so approximately 300bhp ish. Wouldnt even think about it from standing as it has stupid grip, would be going from about 50 in 3rd. Took him out today in mine when we had done my short shift and at top a slip road he said his was going no faster both trying obviously so time will tell... If get it handed to me will start considering stage 2.. (if can do it without mrs's noticing.. lol..

It had Nitron suspension on it which was too stiff for the road. I've got a standard edition 30 now, for me there is a MASSIVE difference in performance! I'm not sure about getting it mapped because it has trouble gripping as it is now, in the wet it's pointless even trying in 1st or 2nd that's the main difference I'd say. I obviously do prefer the mpg and comfort more though! Also I was never happy parking the evo and leaving it, they're too popular with thieves :( Are you on the MLR by any chance?
