Title: MDI in and SD card

I fitted a MDI in kit to my RCD 510 and after buying a lightning adaptor cable from apple connected my iPhone and the stereo would not switch over from SD card to MDI in.

I removed the SD card from the stereo and the MDI came on and worked perfectly.

Is it normal that the MDI will not work when a SD card is in the stereo?

The cd changer also seems to have locked to transport mode after removing the stereo too and will not come out of it

I can't remember if the MDI requires coding to the car, also there are different firmwares for the MDI iirc so one of them may be the issue
