Title: Mfd2 iPod lead

Just fitted an iPod aux lead into back of my mfd2, works a treat but didn't connect the power/charge cable as I didn't know where to take power from. What's the best power supply to use and does my car have can bus (2005 gti) if it has will it show anything up.
    Also going to remove pre-cat, is it just a matter of remove down pipe smash pre cat out and refit down pipe. Anything else required?

Does anyone know if I can keep my cd changer connected to the cars head unit whilst also having the capability to connect an iphone? Pretty sure it's an mfd2/rns2 sat nav unit
