Little video of the hydros working :)

@richwig83 means i can be nice and low yet raise it up when i come to a speed bump or the likes! Very similar to airride only hydros still use springs and shocks making it handle well!

im pretty sure this is the first MKV GTI with hydros

cars still sitting on the massive tyres, so with some adjustment and my 17s on with a nice stretch I should lay frame all round!

im either going to go down one of two roads next..

1. Power. not really sure what and would like to ask advice from you guys as to what would be best!

2. a cage and a pair of bride zeta 2 seats with a omp dished wheel.

*both will be done at some stage but as to what one, first is the question. ive my saving boots on!

and yea thinking about it! Time will tell!

this set up is very like a normal coilover, now obviously it isn't as well setup as a track orientated coilover, but its the next best thing imo.

i had my notch included in the price of fitting the hydros…

but normally they cost between £60-£100

I spoke to john a few years ago and he mentioned to me the hydros dont handle well at all, have they been revised now? (E38 2010, in reference with a 106 gti that i was gonna buy)

With the hydros does that mean you can do all 4 corners at different times? as thought air was just up and down and hydro was all 4 corners?

It depends really.... Air & hydro have both come a long way in recent years. Depending on what kit you buy/build you can have 2 way or 4 way management.

Two way giving you front up/down. I wouldnt recomend this with air ride as the air under hard cornering will transfer from left to right or visa versa. Giving it a sloppy ride.

Four way giving you each wheel control.

ahh really thats good! i just think of hydros as the american pimped cars that bounce hahah!

but yeh sounds right, expensive though for either! but defo worth it

im going for a false floor some nice fixed buckets and a wooden dished nardi wheel.

After that im going to be saving up the pennys for some go fast parts. i have little to no knowledge to this. as far as a remap and induction kit and thats me :ashamed: can someone give me some pointers in some mods that give some nice gains that also arnt to expensive :driver:
