I recon my tyres need changing in the next 1-2k's. When i owned the Mugen RR, i had bought a spare set of tyres which didnt get used and the size matches the Ed30.
Would Potenza RE050A's go alright?

I've just fitted a full set of RE050A's to my car. 225 45 17" but essentially it'l make no difference if you running 18" wheels.
I've just started getting them scrubbed in nicely now, and find them to be a pretty good tyre.
Quiet on the road, and responcive on the turn in, alot better than the P6000's i had previously.
The car feels planted in the corners, in both the wet and the dry, and when driving more 'spiritedly' they cope well.
The only point i have found that i needed to adjust is the tyre pressure. Because they have a firm side wall (which is good), the rear tyres need to be 0.1/0.2 bar less than recomended - this will help with the mid corner speed.
A pretty good tyre tbh, recomended.

thanks buddy, yeh i thought the same about the firm tyre wall.

My ED30's came with this tyre from factory, it was ok - excellent in dry - quite scary in wet - wouldn't fancy them now the remap's on the car ...

Gareth

i have them on mine and there great, excellent grip in the dry and not bad in the wet. i think i may be running mine a bit hard though as they can be noisy on certain roads
