Title: Oil Info for 2 vehicles

Hey all  got a bit of a question about oils (forgive me for being stupid lol)

Basically i have a 06 plate gt tdi 140bhp mk 5 and a vauxhall astravan 1.9 cdti. Since buying the golf last dec/jan i havent done anything to it servicing wise only has to change the radiator as coolent was leaking out now the oil light has come on on the golf BUT it will be getting a full service done on it in a few weeks (funds and time, at the mo both are low)

Questions are

Can i get an oil which would be suitable for both vehilcles (Not really for the servicing part but just to keep at home just in case)

How much roughly would i need to get to service both

Which oil is the best for both vehicles & where to get it from

vw should have 504. 507. spec oil
not sure for astra but cant go wrong with same as vw...

Those numbers you mentioned where does it say that on the oil?
