Hey Guys,
Looking at purchasing a set of the optional Recaro sport seats for my MK5 the ones that come in the MK5 R32's. I know they are going to be expensive down at the local Stealer but does anyone happen to have the part number for them? Much appreciated

£1200 each last time someone looked :surprised:

There isn't a single part number for the seat as the same parts are shared across the GTI & R32 for both the cloth and leather versions.
Here's the ETKA diagram and parts list for the Recaro seats :happy2:

Thanks for that Steve,
So i'm guessing the seats don't complete then? :surprised:
-
nope you have to buy each seat as an assembly (a bag full of bits and a frame)
easy to fight on ebay with the long queue of others, they pop up every month or so for around £1200 for just the fronts

Thanks for that VC if you happen to find a set let me know much apprecited. Have forgot to send you my pics loving your new signature might have to have same if that's cool. When's the store opening? :happy2:

i have daily ebay search updates! hasnt been a set for while, last ones went for £1250, ones before that £1100. there's currently a set of standard seats (non big bucket) and full interior leather for £750
stores coming soon, just waiting on the building work now to move everything into and then its off and rocking

My dealer quoted £3800 for all the parts involved with 2 seats with interlagos trim...
-
always going to be cheaper to fight on ebay for a set
-
Would love these seats for mine too. :sad1:

Love the Recaro seats, but I'll be going for a single bucket seat for race days and then sticking the ED30 seats back in when I'm done. 37.5kg is the weight for the stock seats, but I think the Recaro's are slightly lighter (but not a lot!)
1 Recaro bucket seat = 10kg. So that would be 65kg instant diet for track meets/Pod runs
