Title: Disconnecting the battery - problems?
Post by: OSB on February 03, 2013, 11:06:33 am
If I disconnect the battery are there any potential problems or issues? Like losing radio code, ECU reset, window settings, rear wheels falling off...?

Thanks

Shouldn't have any problems I have disconnected my battery plenty of times and the stereo has never needed the code to be enterd.

Just have your keys handy as the alarm will sound when you dissconect the positive side

You may have to re-do your windows as well, make them go all the way down then all the way back up.

Thanks all. As all I want to do at present is to make sure the battery terminals are clean and earth lead is making making good contact. I'll connect a second battery through the power outlet.
