I've just bought a MK5 and have an issue with the courtesy light..
When I open any of the four doors the courtesy lights doesn't come on. The courtesy light doesn't come on when the car is unlocked/key removed from ignition.
HOWEVER the footwell lights do come on in any of the above scenarios and it does show it on the clocks when the door is opened.
The lights on the courtesy light do work when turned on manually. I have tried making sure their is contact on the switch and I have checked the fuse.
What could be the issue?

Might be a stupid question, but have you checked the switch is set in the correct posistion? There are three settings. I think if it's pressed all the way to the left they are permanently off, all the way to the right is permanently on and left in the middle posistion they should just come on when opening doors etc. :happy2:

Yeah mate I've made sure but I also tried it in each of the 3 settings just to make sure :)

It says in your sig you've got a 130? Did you have the issue on your mk4 or mk5? Before I go buy a light :)
