I think the car would be worth more realistic money (ie not 40k) if it was a standard car.  We can all relate to modifying cars, but to do it to such a rare car is daft.

i know, the rsi is taboo, some cars you just shouldn't play with, its been done well, but i for one would relish a car like that far more if it was totally box fresh and un pimped

Wasnt the RSI the only one with the V6 and 4motion ... makes it the best base for the upgrade they have done.

....

Too rare and special to modify in my opinion.

Price is only the result of supply vs demand. Nothing is too expensive unless you don't have the money.

....Nah, it would be sacrilege to cover up such a rare car. They are very fine if you've seen one in the flesh - A modern classic imo.

I Love that RSI. It was at GTI International a few years back and looked gorgeous in the flesh. He's also added the CF doorskins since too

£40k for that car is cheap for the work done, never mind the base car :happy2:

Someone I know went over to Germany and bought one for less than £15k totally standard, it was  He sold it very recently for £20k+  :surprised: Definately a classic as they only made 252, the odd 2 belonged to VW which were the only ones painted blue!

My first NB was a LHD and after a fewe hours I actually enjoyed the whole LHD thing. Well until it came to overtaking, but to be fair in a 2ltr Bug I wasnt gonna be overtaking much! :rolleye:
