Hi
Replacing front discs & pads this week along with a fluid change.
Looking at using Motul rbf600 & just wondering if its worth using this over standard fluid?
Any ideas & help appreciated.
Thanks :happy2:

I just kept with standard. Also it's definitely worth getting some penetrating oil/spray if you haven't already, those 21mm caliper carrier bolts can be a royal PITA to get off, especially after all the salt on the roads.

If you're using standard brakes then I'd say overkill.

I kept with standard in my Cupra, but i only use it on the road and never break hard. Unless i really have too (Slow drivers moving into the 3rd lane :stupid: )

For normal usage the standard stuff should be fine. The more expensive fluids are better aimed at track day usage I believe as they'll be able to better handle the abuse the brakes take and the higher temps involved

DOT4 ESP standard stuff is required. Preferably genuine VW aswell :happy2:

Thanks for the advice, opted for VW DOT4, front discs & pads & fluid changed today, all seems good!
