Title: Aaargh! Nightmare.
Post by: andygo on February 04, 2013, 04:30:18 pm
I had a bit of spare dinoc carbon wrap so thought I would do my instrument cluster.

Took instruments out of the dash, unclipped the clusterface and applied the wrap, carefully cutting around the various holes. All going very well, thankyou until.....

Just gently clipping it all back together being ever so careful...

Until I heard a slight crack.

Turned the cluster over to see both the rev counter and speedo glasses had cracked.

Has anyone got an old dash spare, all I need are two glasses - they are tinted by the way, so I can't go and get some ordinary glass cut to size.

As you may imagine, I'm a bit miffed!  :)

Sorry to hijack, but if Andy doesn't need them, please can I have the two little ones? Mine are cracked. Let me know. Thanks.

If you look at them on an angle they'll have a blue/purple tint.

I think its a non reflective tint they have. Pity they aren't a bit tougher.
