Title: Oil around turbo - DV issue perhaps?

I took my Ed30 to VW to get brake pads changed.  they said on a health check there was a little oil around the turbo which they cleaned up.
they said bring it back after 1,000 miles for further investigation...

what could be causing this, turbo issue?

Did they check the oil pipes? Or did they just wipe it up.... ?

they just wiped it up.    said drive it for 1 month or 1,000 miles and bring it back for investigation.  which will cost £79 to determine the issue.  they said it may be the turbo gone.
i defo have noticed the power to my Ed30 has gone, but surely the turbo cant have failed at 32k mileage?

can the oil pipes get clogged up to cause this?
