Post by: garrardrj on February 06, 2013, 01:49:20 pm
So its been out a while.

So whats the speeds like etc

Our home Broadband is so poor that thinking of getting it for downloads/uploads etc

I get about 0.5mb at home !

What are phonecalls like on the EE network and any news on when the other providers are going to offer it ?

Look at a company called Boundless Communications Limited for home broadband, it's the dogs bollocks in wireless broadband

My BT broadband is lucky to see 3MB down or up at any time of day.  Mine and my wifes Three 3G phones get 8-10MB down and can tether to any other device in the house.

My brother with his iPhone 5 on superfast 3G with Three saw 19MB down!

My thoughts on 4G at the minute is that phones will be searching for 4G signal alot and therefore drain battery quicker until there is a more consistent and established 4G newwork / antena hardware and infrastructure. (just my theory lol)

4G coverage is pretty limited at the moment and flakey at best. Personally i would wait another 12 months for other operators for other operators to jump onboard and the EE network to mature.

As it happens i had an interview this morning with EE :)
