Just searched the forum, and cant find any details of these.... anyone know anything usefull? Price ride quality etc...
could this get rid of air-ride?
-
I certainly dont think it will replace air, It only gives you about a inch lift and from what i understand cant be driven like that for long, it should only really be used for extra ground clearence when needed.

yep, for raising the nose for speed bumps etc.
just like your lambos etc

....
I've had a full demo of this on a Scirocco. Max of about 30-40mm IIRC but really not enough. Very smooth and easy operation but costs about £2,500 on either the Scirocco or Mk5 Golf.

be honest...you wanna three wheel lowride your car around the McDonalds carpark on friday nights dont you :P
that aside  you need to look stateside for the hydro kits, the yank passat boys are famous for dumping their cars hard, and theres a big following for T25 vw campers for 'jumping' and 'dancing' competitions too...bonkers stuff
theyve been at it for years, type 'lowrider vw' when you search in things like google or youtube and they will all start popping up (scuse the pun )

I was seriously interested in the KW Lift system for totally practical reasons - So I could better negotiate some speed bumps and indoor carpark ramps. But the £2.5k cost is ridiculous, even if it raised the car 100mm!
My car managed 95% of obstacles and just occasionally scrapes the underneath. I don't care about this and just tape it up or spray touch-up paint locally. When the damage gets too much I'll either get it repaired properly by the bodyshop guys I know, or buy a different splitter from VWR.

i would love to see how that works in an every day environment.
25-30mm might be enough if they werent ridiculously low to start with.
then again, 2.5k is quite steep

....Yes, I fall into that 'ridiculously low' category and I think KW have somehow missed the point by not catering for lowered cars - Isn't it lowered cars like mine (not airbag slammed) which need them the most? But still not at £2.5k!!
As I said, they do work absolutely beautifully - Real eeeeeeasy and as smooooth as a vintage Rolls-Royce - Just not enough lift and far too expensive, even for just one axle.
