Title: Fixed ISA's - Best Rate ?
Post by: garrardrj on February 08, 2013, 05:07:24 pm
Bl@@dy Building Societies are paying F' all on these at the moment

Anyone found a good place for their tax free savings ?

Best fixed is about 2.25%

Think i may be putting it somewhere else rather than an ISA as 5% is possible less tax which is 4% , We've got quite a bit so that difference is worth having too  :innocent:

Yip 2.5% at the moment from lloyds, cash isa with instant access, you will get intrest penalties though if you withdraw too much in the isa term. Think it's a min of 2k start up cash can't remember though this is the isa I have just now.

Barclays have a 2.26% including a 0.25% bonus, guaranteed to track 1.76% above base for 12mths then 1.51% above until march 2014.
Natwest/RBS have 2 year fix at 2.35%.

Seen very few that will allow transfers in, aswell as new contributions.

Done all the internet stuff and it is likely that my ISA pot will be NIL soon as you can get better income elsewhere

Is it likely to improve soon - No is my answer , not in the next 5 years or so
