i dont like it, its not as pretty on the outside as its predecessor! IMO anyway, i dont like how they've put very square grills in the front bumper i dont think it looks right
-
:worthless:
-
Had to google it. The front very much reminds me of the focus st.
TBH although I love angular styling eg Aventador, I'm not a fan of the way the new VAG range looks. Very homogenised.

oopsie uploaded the wrong one :ashamed: thanks mat :happy2:
-
That's a good looking car.
-
No interior pics..... Just for a change
same old story, Lovely on the outside, sh*te on the inside? Hope not, looks promising..
-

i have to agree with you there, I like it! Aren't they also going to offer this as a 3 door too will would be nice

Tends to be how most manufacturers are building their cars today, everything is a slight variation on the same theme - a bit bigger, a bit smaller, hatchback version, elephantised to SUV or worse still those cross SUV/Car things  where they are neither one or the other and leave you scratching your head as to why anyone in their tiny little mind would waste money on one and whether they realise how absurd they look.
Undoubtedly from a business point it makes sense to keep your assembly costs down but as a fan of cars and their aesthetics it makes the modern age of automotives a comparatively dull place to be.
At the risk of saying "when i was a lad", back in the day there was a bit more variety within a badge's range and i liked it
-
Quite like that :happy2:
-
Very nice - only needs the 4wd platform now to be a contender... :jumping:
-
very nice , hope they make a effort inside

I went to a dealer preview of a LHD 'FR' that was doing a dealer tour, the interior is a huge improvement over the mk2 Leon and is very golf like in it's look and feel..
LED headlight option looks stunning in the flesh too :happy2:

sounds good, ill keep my eye out for one to sneek a peek at

I like the front but not sure about the rear.. I too hope they have made an effort with the interior..

Our neighbours in France had a MKI 4WD LCR. Was there a MKII 4WD too?
-
i doubt id ever have the petrol cars over the golf but the diesels they churn out beat most things hands down on the looks department .
-
Like that, need to see dash though

I think you might be right. It certainly wasn't an LCR. It looked more like a cupra.

Mk1 Leon 4wd was a 2.8 V6 same as the mk4 4 motion Golf
-
I also like it! Looks pretty sharp, and I imagine it offers belter VFM.
-
I quite like that. Only criticism is that I don't feel the centre exhaust suits it. I think a big tail on either side would have looked better.
That's easily remedied tho and the car otherwise looks spot on. If I were in the market for a new car I'd have a right old time separating this from the new A3 which I think is equally handsome.
-
I really like it.
Anyone else think it has a Honda Civic Type-R look to it?

Oh, how odd - it's badged as an LCR and has the same kit/brakes etc. I'll have a nose under the bonnet next time I'm over.
-
have to say I like it too
I think LED front lights are available on the SEAT too
at least Seat and Audi have kept the interior lighting for the buttons / switches backlit Red
(White Cluster lighting and Red back lighting for everything else)
unlike the new golf
where everything is white
-
Tbh I dunno why Audi dropped the red cluster lighting. I've always really liked it
-
I understand the idea behind red back lighting but im my Leon found it quite drab. Converted to crisp white smds and looks much better to me.
Doesn't disctract my attention at all.
I wish my Light switch for interior lights was backlit. Just one of those quality touches...

Certainly very odd, but a great car if they have built their own! :happy2:
The mk1 4wd versions were badged up as 'Cupra4' and 'Cupra4 tdi', regular cupra body kit and spec but either a 2.8 or 1.9 diesel

I once took mine to dealer in France to have pads done and all staff came out to have a look! They had never seen one! :signLOL:
-
I like it, looks like a cross between a Civic type R and a Focus ST from the front, not a bad thing both good looking cars.
-
I quite like it. Will have to see what the inside is like. Didn't the MKI have the A3 dash in it?
Aren't the front calipers in the photo, the smaller ones, not as big as the Golf or Rocco R??
-
That is a beautiful motor, about time as ive personally thought the last few seats have looked 'odd' (sorry mk2 lovers) love the arse end and dare i say it, id have it over the mk7!
Seriously seriously like that!

The interior in the new Leon certainly looks much improved.

It certainly does, that's very posh compared to the last version.
-
Looks lovely inside! Love the needles on the clocks

Much improved, and most importantly the infotainment is actually higher enough on the dash not to be dangerous looking down at it.
