Title: Engine removal and upgraded mounts install?
Post by: tommygti on February 09, 2013, 01:20:33 pm
I'm wanting to remove my engine to do some bay shaving and install some new mounts. I have a Haynes manual but just wondered if anyone's already done a similar DIY?

really easy,  remove front end + rad pack,  remove airbox ect.  dissconnect loom from ecu and rest all cables on top of engine.    Drop drive shafts and remove gearbox links then undo engine mounts and the engine is out. :happy2:

Ha, u make it sound easy. Take it you have already done this? I found a link that explains the procedure better than the haynes manual:

Apart from the obvious tools required is there anything else I could get to make the job easier
