Post by: x21ekx on February 09, 2013, 03:05:21 pm
Hay hay
Seen alot of you guys are rolling with the front ends filled and smoothed which IMO looks absolutely class but! I was wondering where abouts you guys fix your plates when on the road and how?
Any photos would be excellent as I'm thinking of having mine done
Cheers chaps

I think they use magnetic plates and have magnets stuck behind the smooth bit  :innocent:

£14.79 all in for 10 20mmX5mm neodymium disc magnets.

I got some to put mine on with and they are strong. If the plate is going to fall off, it will be through the magnets not being glued down properly! I've used the no more nails thing for attach my magnets.

I've got a OEM American smoothed grill and carry 2 plates, 1 on the car and 1 in the boot. 1 is held in place with magnets, the other is held in place by double sided suction cups.

I have 16X 20mm X 3mm N35 Neodymium magnets, 8 on reverse of the plate and 8 on the reverse of the grill. I don't have any pics of the magnets attached to my car but there is guide on them....

Magnets i bought are from eBay.....

And with the suction cups on mine...
