Is that the only error.

Did you make a note of the old settings selected before fitting the new Gateway, have you checked the correct options have been selected?

Have you checked all the long coding options are the same as before or just the installation list?

I changed my Canbus about 4 years ago so I'm having trouble remembering the detail, but I have a vague recollection that the car "forgets" it a right hand drive etc so you have to set this in Coding-07 > Long Coding Helper. I've emailed you my VCDS screenshots when I did mine in case they help in some way.

is this what the panic is about :signLOL:

tbh. if you get this fault it is because you have either missed something or added something

Commom mistakes are

Driver Electric instead of Door Drivers
Digital Radio
Air Con Compressor

I suggest that you double check the tick boxes, do a complete scan and compare it to the boxes you have ticked

The long coding won't cause that fault

I'm guessing he hasn't checked address 04 for steering angle as in the earlier gateway it was 00.

Big Big thanks Guys, it was for a friend, and he ended up being in a rush so the big panic set in...

I had noticed that about the steering angle... But asumed it was something that automaticly ticked it's self  :signLOL:

Something so easy, but now i'm made aware of it, i will keep an eye out for it.

if we are not making mistakes, we are not learning guy's...

Thanks Again
Neil

Things can be easly missed

if you have a full scan throw it up, it would help.

Are you out at the car now?
