Title: MFD doing strange things!
Post by: Jamminjim on February 11, 2013, 08:39:14 pm
Hi everyone, I drove over to Birmingham and back Saturday to pick up some wheels off Paul (c8dgy) off here...thanks again my friend  :happy2:.

It was a 270 mile round trip and as i've not had my jetta for long it was nice to give her a good run at last! On the way back however, looking down at my dash - it started on the bottom row (milage and trip) the pixels had started to disapear...as i drove for the next hour or so they got fainter and fainter, and by the time i got near home i could hardly read the mileage i was thinking to myself these things happen i guess...and anyway its a excuse to swith to a highline display!

Well anyway, the next day i got in expecting it to be even worse but to my surprise everything was back to normal and the display was working perfectly!

Has this happened to anyone before?? I can only guess its got something to do with the display getting too hot mabey it does seem strange tho

My display disappeared completely on a hot day in the summer last year, not had any issues with it since then

It done it again a little after a long drive but im not worrying too much for now. Saving the pennies for my summer rims, a trip to the body shop for some smoothing and paint perfecting and an imminant cam-belt change...

Much im wanting to do like a full leather upgrade, ed30 steering wheel and some U.S. smoked rears but they can all wait for a while  :sad1:
