Title: Stage 2 map
Post by: Mattj78 on February 14, 2013, 04:54:54 pm
I'm looking to get a stage 2 map done next week and was wondering, if I have my milltek downpipe and high flow cats fitted tomorrow will it throw up any fault codes or damage anything? Is it safe for me to drive the car round until I get it mapped? Reason for this is a garage i use can fit my downpipe tomorrow, Cheers in advance

Stage 2 maps take out the CEL warning from removing the OEM exhaust, it'll be cool :happy2:

Sorry, I just re-read your post... if your Standard or Stage 1 (unless custom) at the moment, then fitting the TBE will create a warning on the dash... going to Stage 2 will remove the warning.

If your getting a Stage 2 map, it's worth getting a decent Induction kit to get the MAF g/s up - fitting the DP will do wonders for the K03 (as it's not twin scroll like the K04) so you'll bring the EGT's down by increasing the exhaust and removing the pre-cat :happy2:

Correct.

Yes an induction kit at stage 2 will definately help things but is not absolutley essential. I would get one though if i were you.  :happy2:

I have almost finished the preparations for stage 2 on mine. I have a neuspeed intake, eBay special 3" Decat, toyosports FMIC, and will be putting a rev d or g DV on before I go. These where recommended to me by R-Tech in order to get 'the best' out of my map. However I don't think the FMIC is critical though..

Just my 2p worth  :happy2:
