Title: Rear wiper stopped working found broken wire not sure if its the right one.

I recently replaced door control module a week or so ago and recently the rear wiper stopped working.  Having investigated it a bit I have found crack in the insulation of one of the wires that enters the boot.

Can anyone confirm if its the right one or if a crack in the insulation would cause it to stop working.  The copper core looks to be intact and I have wrapped some insulation tape around it but still nothing.

This is the wire is located on the drivers side of the car top right corner of the boot.

That's one of the heated screen wires the black one is aerial and the pipe is the screen wash, the wiper and all lights use the passenger side
