Title: Rns510 system starting
Post by: Baz300 on February 17, 2013, 11:27:31 am
I installed a RNS510 yesterday and everything worked fine.

But today when I try to go into  media it just stays on a screen saying "system starting"

If I put a CD in it will automatically start and I can skip through the tracks with the MFSW and when I eject the CD it will start playing the music that is on the hard drive.

The radio and NAV both work and display on the screen.

I have tried resetting the unit by pressing <> & i but it is still the same through media.

Would it be worth trying to update the firmwear?

It's coded in.

No faults are coming up on VCDS with either navigation or radio modules.

It's for CD, SD card, Media in and HDD the screen is blank with the system starting. I don't even get he option of choosing what media I want.

It worked perfectly yesterday when I installed everything just seemed to have changed overnight.

Got it fixed :happy2:

I had a 32gb SD card in the slot which the firmware doesn't support.

Removed the card and everything works again.
