Hi guys, will be getting my wifi obd2 dongle soon to go with my dashcommand phone app.
Have always suspected that my gti has been remapped by a previous owner but not had it confirmed so I am hoping I will be able to do this by looking at my boost pressures.
Does anybody know what the standard boost pressure is vs remapped?
I am kinda hoping I am standard at the moment because it will mean I can take a trip to r tech to get it done! :P

Stock standard gti is 11 to 12 psi, and remapped should build 16 to 19psi depending on its present condition. Well kept and absolutely nothing off spec will give more of course etc. and if it builds the lower boost levels it may need some looking at where the maf sensor, carbon build-up on the intake vlaves, plugs, coils, fuel filter, etc. So if you are able to run some vcds data logs you should have no problem sorting out any issues with it.

Thanks for the reply. My car is well kept, I have seen the thread about cleaning the intake valves (your thread I believe?) so ill give that a go just so I know everything is top!
I don't have vcds at the moment. The car runs fine with no problems as far as I'm aware anyway
