Post by: Bainsy edition 30 on February 19, 2013, 09:37:48 am
Hi I'm having lean idle bank 1 issues putting mil on.

Changed.fuel pump cam follower.
Fuel filter.
New O2 sensor.
Smoke tested no leaks.
Getting high fuel trims.could it be down to new neuspeed intake I fitted.

Guessing you're stage 1 and just put a CAI filter on... sounds like you HPFP is struggling to meet the extra fueling needed for the extra air...

Look for looseness in the new intake clamps first. Then check the mass air flow sensor. Find someone not experiencing the issue that will let you try theirs briefly. That will show whether or not to replace it.
If that's not it it is likely the pcv and maybe even coils.

Could be but better be sure it's not the map itself causing  these issues...

I'm just the messenger here but any decent tuner would have sorted your issue before mapping the car.

Without a doubt, running lean can be fixed by rescaling the MAF to deal with the adapted air flow!

Get yourself a proper tuner! Not just the cheapest!
