Hi guys,
My car usually manages around 330mpg most times I fill up with a full tank of petrol. However this month I have only managed 290 mpg and I have driven the car the same, on the same roads so I can't understand why this could be.
Didn't know if there are any possible causes for this?
Also i bought my car a year ago, it has now done 110,000 miles and there are no records of the dv valve being changed? so i wondered if it was worth getting my DV valve changed when I'm next at the garage to the revision G?
Cheers

Seriously bro, since changing mine to Rev G, seen a 3-4 MPG increase.....not massive but over the year. I used to think i was my lead right foot...turns out torn DV, get it changed mate :happy2:

330mpg mpg? now 290mpg? if i was getting 290mpg from my 2.0T i would not be complaining!

If there are no error codes on vcds it is likely a failing maf sensor. But you can check that logging group 002. Or if you know another with a maf you can ask them to borrow theirs to run a test with it. Plug it into yours logging both maf sensors or just take it for a short drive with each maf resetting the mean mpg on the same stretch of road setting cruise at the same for both maf's. Assuming theirs is good you will see a diff in the avg.

Cold weather will hammer your MPG too. Makes a big difference ive found

Check your tyre pressures in this cold weather as, when the temperature drops the pressure in your tyres will drop too. This will result in a corresponding drop in MPG so re-inflating them to the correct pressures will restore some of your missing MPG. :happy2:

I did have a new MAF sensor fitted actually when i first bought the car a year ago. I hope it wouldn't be failing this early on?

My mpg got noticeably lower when my dv was knackered.
