Does the build sticker in the boot give you the code for the wheels fitted from new ?
I believe that the originals were 18" Monza (2006 gti) now how much would these be to replace from VW ? Would they be Monza 2's on this age of car ?
The wheels have been replaced with BBS VZ 18" in silver , i believe these are around £700 for 4 . I believe the VW wheels are about £400 each ??
I need this information for when i insure my sons new car i need to tell the Insurer the Wheels are lower in value and should not attract a loading on the policy as a modification , although they will be recorded on the policy as such.

Not sure on the build sticker but a main dealer quoted me around £2k for a brand new set of Monza alloys...needless to say I picked up a second hand set on the forum after that...
Monza 2 is correct for this age car. The Monza Shadows were a MK6 GTI alloy.

Yes it does, this I how I found out mine come with 17's from new :happy2:
When I last phoned the dealer for 18" Monza's for mine it worked out to £440 per alloy inc VAT and centre caps but that was 2 years ago

18" OEM rims are usually £5-600 each from a dealer. When I looked into buying original Omanyts they were £550 and that was over 2 years ago.

Just been out to the car to take a pic of the sticker and CG6 is the code for 7.5J x 17 Alloy wheels. So thats the code for 17" Monza's. The code for my alloys was the 3rd one in on the top line (or 2nd one as only 1 was before it but works out to be the third if you treat it as columns). Most alloys start with a C a few with F and one with a V from the link below
Heres a list of all the codes http://vag-codes.info/files/options/vag-option-codes.pdf
and the decoder for the sticker http://igorweb.org/equidec/default.aspx
