Title: New Car
Post by: Moz on February 23, 2013, 06:14:04 pm
I'm a sucker!

I had intentions to sell the GTI to free up some cash and buy a diesel.

But after being contacted by a member on the forum about a car they had, it became a no-brainer.

So a 2 hour trip for me resulted in coming back with this!!!

2004 R32
Black Badges front and rear
R-Line Steering Wheel badge, and centre caps.
Militek Tips with Flapper Mod
Wind Deflectors
US Spec Rear Lights
Smoothed front bumper
Mk5 Rear Wiper
Mk5 Ariel.

Conditions outside is immaculate, not one mark on it at all!

Won't be spending as much time here now really, but WOW what a motor this is!

Beaming ear to ear.

Cheers boys.

Don't suspect I will be keeping this for too long in all honesty, circa a few months.

But it'll be fun whilst I have it, then I will DEFFO have to get a diesel. The Mrs hit the roof when she found out I came home with this when I was meant to be getting a diesel to save cash.

I know, I know, She's settled down now, and then heated seats won her over slightly.

Sounds funny, but I'm still learning the throttle on the car, it's surprisingly sensitive and can cause you to kangaroo.

Well on the ride home I averaged 30 MPG over a two hour drive, I had it at 11 MPG when I gave it some on the M6 North.

I'll be looking to go into a GT TDI, either MK4 or a GT MK5 within a few months I think.
