Guys,
Is there anything I'll need to replace more quickly/check more regularly bearing in mind my daily commute to work is about a 25 mile round trip and weekend/social driving, is no more than 30 miles a week, with stop/starts regularly?
Is this bad news for the Turbo, or not a problem?
Driving is completely mixed, short stints spread across 20 mph areas up to dual carriageway speeds.
When I'm doing short maneuvering around the driveway, sounds like the exhaust makes a click noise just after it growls when using the gas. I wondered if this was perhaps a symptom of short journeys?
Thanks,
Pete.

No nothing to worry about. Its factored into the design.
All our lads in work have Vauxhall vans yes i said vauxhall vans and they literally get raped and pillared from day one, and all of them just keep on going.
relax and enjoy. :happy2:

Thanks TC :happy2: Reassuring.
Still shocked you compare the VAGS to Movano or Corsa vans

When I go to work, it's barely 5 miles (but tricky to get to without a car). I avoid going above 3000rpm as on the ED30, that's when the turbo (already spooled up) kicks in.
At least once if not twice a week, I'll take a detour along a local NSL DC and give the turbo a good workout.
The worst thing to do is get into a cold car, rag it hard and stop and turn the ignition off whilst the car's still cold.
