Title: RNS 510 and the iPhone

anyone have both?

how do they perform with each other?

any problems via bluetooth connectivity?

From the people I know with both, they work fine together. I am assuming you have OEM Bluetooth kit.

no i'm all aftermarket, i currently have the avic900

but changing my phone, more than likely to an iphone, plus fancied a head unit change too

so aside the 510 do i need another kit for bluetooth then?

Well I have RNS 510 and my old Skoda/OEM Vag bluetooth kit.
It hates Symbian (S60) Nokias but is good with Sony Ericsson and Piephone.

Piephone should be fine VC. :smiley:

VC only niggle you get with the iPhone and RNS-510 with OEM bluetooth is you get some feedback in the form of a "nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn" noise while it's dialing a number / connecting a call.

Otherwise it works like a dream  :happy2:

but is collection only and a 600 mile round trip  :fighting2: got an offer on another though just waiting to see if they accept

how come there are so many from lithuania?  :confused:

I have heard that the Fiscon Pro works fine with the iPhone and also supports the A2DP (streaming MP3's over Bluetooth) which the 3.0 software allows.

I've been looking at getting it fitted for a while now, but its not cheap.

Had a Fiscon kit fitted yesterday and am absolutely to bits with it - offers all the features of my previous Audi A4 factory kit and more.

Audio streaming via A2DP is great as well.

Really am impressed with how it all integrates with the RNS510 as well - just need an amp and upgraded speakers now  :happy2:
