Title: Notchy steering

My mk5 gti has suddenly developed some notchy steering. It's weird because if you leave the steering wheel for about 30 seconds and then turn it full lock either way its notchy for the first turn or so then it's fine. And it's fine if you keep moving the wheel lock to lock . It's only when left for a min it's notchy again. Seems fine when driving or maybe I just can't feel it. Definitely worst while stationery . Any ideas. Fluid is ok
