Hi, I'm currently looking for a new intake for my 1.9tdi..
What ones best recommended, and Do forge do a diesel twintake?

If you are looking to get better power from your diesel I would recommend putting a panel filter in and not a intake!
Intakes look better but you lose power for the look and it is not about that!
-
Oh really. Panel filter it is then..
Cheers for that :happy2:
-
The air box from the Ibiza FR160 seems to be a decent choice - with a panel filter :happy2:
-
I'm running an ITG panel filter with a slightly modified standard airbox.
-
After all my intakes I fitted on my 1.9 pd I found it ran best with just the OE paper filter. Diesels dont need a lot of air like petrols and the standard air box will flow more than enough air for the engine. If you havent already Id put the money towards a remap.

Does the Ibiza fr fit the mk5?
I've already had it mapped to 160bhp..
-
Just stick with the panel filters :happy2:
-
Haha will do :happy2:
And specific one to look for? Or do they all do the same?
-
They all are about the same really-i still have the oem paper one in mine running 211bhp
-
Bet she pulls like f*ck.
You just had it remapped?
-
Its getting a few tweaks all free of charge at the mo then in May getting the clutch and inter cooler done
-
I had Pipercross panel filter in my old mk4 PD100 mapped to 151bhp stage 2. As above don't need intakes matey.
Good remaps an a decat! :happy2:

Oh right sweet.
I've got an upgraded clutch ect..
These panel filters are cheap as well
I was looking at buying a miltek, but I'd rather spend money on visual ha
-
I put a K&N on mine and it runs better, i use to get turbo cut a lot but with a new filter and oil it now runs like a dream
-
Oh sweet..
Cheers for your help lads :happy2:
