Title: Control module for MK5 wheel advice please?
Post by: big al on February 27, 2013, 11:04:44 pm
Hi all,
As the car is going back to standard I am taking out my MK6 wheel and putting back in the MK5 one.
Can anyone confirm if I need to take out the module too and put the mk5 one, or can I leave the MK6 one in?
If it needs swapping, any one know of any for sale, and is any coding required?

Thanks :happy2:

You can leave the mk6 CH controller in

although if you can find a basic one cheaply, you can sell the CH one

I think scottm72 has a controller

I have a 1KO 953 549 F laying round.  Ed put me a CH module in for a mk6 MFSW wheel a few weeks back, drop me a pm if you're interested Al.  The 549 was used on a non mfsw mk5 wheel before the swap.  :happy2:

The F was probably what you would have had from the factory :happy2:
