Hi Guys
Spending on golf 2004 gt tdilooks as though its going through the roof. Have two annoying problems:
1. Possibly expensive, using litres of oil. Think it's oil seals in turbo, but there is no excessive smoke coming from exhaust. Boost is poor cuts in at 2 till 3.5 but not much pull in 5th & 6
Car has done 93000. Have checked all boost pipes all were ok apart from small egr pipe at rear of motor that I replaced. Boost did pick up a bit but still not good but oil leak cleared up! Checked back of exhaust but its just sooty black & dry. It's still using loads of oil & at a tenner a litre it's getting expensive more than 1 a week & I don't do that many miles!!
Started driving like an old lady to conserve oil supplies :-(
2. Alarm!!!!
Silent but deadly, keeps going off mostly at night, but silent just flashing hazards all the time, will I need a new siren & if so will it needed to be coded . But is there another problem why it's going off??
Any help would be great as I am getting sick now.
