Title: Bit of help and advice please
Post by: nc35 on March 01, 2013, 08:27:27 pm
Hi All

Bit of a nightmare.

My wife had her Rocco broken into at work on Monday.  Busy car park middle of the day and CCTV cameras.  Not to mention the car alarm.

The two ***** jimmied both front windows with a screw drivers causing them to shatter - cant believe how much glass fragments are produced!!!

Just got the car back after having all the windows replaced.  The back ones were chipped with the screw drivers and needed replacing too.

Back to the point.  The RNS510 is missing along with some of the cables for the blue-tooth touch I think...

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1003.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Faf153%2Fgawthorpe%2F20130301_143029_5.jpg&hash=b5fac79ceddb9a379ebbba264f87d0dfbc42e233)

Need a bit of help identifying some of the wires please

No idea what the blue connector is for...
Think something is missing from the fakra connectors??
The blue lead has a fused connector??
I think the four way connector will be part of the missing blue-tooth connector.

Can anyone please tell me from the picture what else is missing and if the bits are available from VW.  Part numbers would be a huge bonus as I won't be sure what to ask for lol

I also need the four screws!!!

And a new surround...

Thanking you all in anticipation.

PS Anyone offered a cheap RNS in Leeds - I may have the Security Code lol

Sorry to read this fella. Unfortunately I can't be of help for the part numbers but I know what you mean about the glass, I only had my passenger one done when mine got broke into and there was loads of it. Trouble is that I keep finding little bits from time to time nearly a year on lol

They should consider re-introducing capital punishment for these type of 'people'.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

Sorry to hear about that. Always sad to hear of misfortune at the hands of bstards! Broken glass is the worst, it will never completely go, you will always find little pieces forever more!

Thank you all for your kind words.

Don't really know any more.  The car is parked in the same place each day, the two @@@@ that did it must have know what they were doing.

Both front doors were deadlocked, so they must have been balancing through the Windows.

There is very minimal damage to the car interior. The radio surround has one scratch from the screwdriver.  The rest is just small cuts and marks from the glass.

I have put an old radio back in with one screw that I found, no idea what the radio model is, touch screen and an internal 6cd auto changer.  Works straight away, but obviously no blue-tooth.

I am just trying to get the car back together for Carol as she is obviously upset that someone has been in her car as well as the damage...

Still waiting for the police to get back to us regarding the CCTV. Evidently they have to put a formal request for the footage
