ah well, only broke 2 clips and 2 scratches across the black painted vw symbol :sad1:
emmm, anyone got a new badge lol,
ps,,, can the whole badge unit be taken out / stolen from twisting it off whilst on the vehicle or do you have to take the grill off first ?

It can be stolen. I took the full grille off the ED30 and hot melt glued it on. :happy2:

Sorry I couldn't help sooner...but you can put the two together with an epoxy or 2-sided body tape.

thanks guys, i guess at the end of the day the chrome symbol isnt really designed to come off again so i guess its a bit hit and miss trying to get it off without any damage,,, as you say you can just glue it back on.
Im thinking if i go and get a proper 2 colour carbon vw logo, black carbon vw badge and a red carbon inside will it just get pinched.
I am not sure how easily the whole badge unit comes off the grill from the outside,,, is it really easy to get pinched.
Im sure if there is a lovely shiny real carbon blingy thing on there someone will be off with it in no time,,,,, can the whole thing just pull out from the outside - does anyone know.
If so maybe just a red painted background with a cheap £10 carbon vinyl wrapped vw logo from e-bay would be as far as it should be pushed.
Thanks for your input guys - much appreciated :happy2:
