You may have read about my stupid mishap last week - where I managed to drive my car into my own wall :rolleye:
Anyways, the car's since been to the garage and the new bumper has been fitted....ish. The mechanic, who is a good friend of mine, said that because this part (see picture) has been pushed back, slightly, the corner of the bumper won't go on in line. So there's now a quarter inch gap between where the wing and front bumper meet. He did suggest getting it on a Jig - but If I can find the part, I may as well try and get a new one on. The other problem it has caused is the headlight isn't lining up to the correct height. So the passenger side headlight is also slightly pushed back- once secured in place.
He also wasn't 100% of what the actual name of the part is. He mentioned either a "bumper backing bar" or "impact bar"
The picture has been taken from the side of the car with the bumper off.
I've tried to find a decent OEM parts diagram on the net, but can't find one which lists these parts of the car.
