Title: Is it safe to mix oils
Post by: Russ_leeds on March 03, 2013, 05:55:54 pm
Hi all,
My cars currently running on the millers nanodrive 5w 40. Ive just checked my oil, and it needs a little top up but I cant find my other bottle of the millers. Is it safe to top it up with mobil1 esp 5w 30?

Thanks

Don't use Extra Virgin Olive Oil as that's bad.

As above the oils are different grades, millers 5w 40 and mobil1 esp 5w 30. I've topped it up now was less than half a litre but wanted to be sure :happy2:

Thats absolutely fine. Its not good to mix semi and fully synthetic oils together though.
