Yep, after polishing.

Cheers! Thought it was but wasn't sure!! I've got a bit of wax left on the car, would I be able to apply Poorboys and then reapply wax?

I would use an APC to get rid of the old wax and start from scratch

Now I knew eventually this would happen  :ashamed:

What's APC?

All Purpose Cleaner.
My personal preference is G101 but you can use cheap alternatives such as tesco's daisy (approx 79p per L)

^^^
Would Fairy washing up liquid count as an APC?

I wouldn't use fairy washing up liquid! Heard its full of salts that can scratch the paintwork

Surely the salt only softens the water?

I wouldn't personally use Fairy liquid, especially when there are proven safe alternatives readily available from your local supermarket for <£1 per Litre

Another popular option on detailingworld is 'stardrops' which can be purchased from Asda for similar money.

Why would you use APC and not just a car shampoo? (Not criticizing, just interested)

A lot of car shampoos are ph neutral and designed not to strip wax/lsp's.
