Title: Finally found Red ED30
Post by: Coolbiker on March 04, 2013, 10:18:22 pm
Well - I've been on here a while and been looking for a Red ED30, 5 door with DSG.

Had to travel half the length of the country to find it but it's looks and goes brilliantly.

Only issue so far - the ESP  light skid light is on and wont turn off. Any idea's ? :driver:

Does anyone know if the mirrors can fold in with a button ?

Rather weird that is should come on the day after I got in home .. perhaps it was an issue and previous owner had the code cleared.

Has the button near the gearstick been pressed down accidentally switching the ESP off?  That makes the light stay on IIRC.

I've tried pressing the left hand button in front of the gear selector and it makes no difference.

seriously bro....ESP light staying on can be a massive problem, seen a few guys on here have to spend a few bucks getting that fixed. Get some to help you find the error code.

if you have folding mirrors, the mirror rotary knob has an extra position inbetween heated and L... i think

Welcome along fella.

I had the same happen to me with ESP light on all time. It's a fault with ABS control unit which VW are doing free of charge under goodwill/warranty as it was major problem on mk5 golfs.
If not this then it could be ABS sensor, which is a lot cheaper!
They will know when plugged in
So get yourself to nearest main dealer an have a word with them.  :happy2:
