Title: New GTi owner
Post by: Motor Mad on March 05, 2013, 08:59:18 pm
Hi all

I've just collected an 07 plate five door GTi for my wife. It's a tidy example having covered 34k miles. I'm really happy with the way it drives and need to sort out a couple of minor marks. I previously owned an EP3 Type R for five years but had to sell it due to a new job with a company car. I missed my CTR a heck of lot after my Golf Bluemotion arrived so bought a really low mileage Integra DC2 which is incredible.

I'll endeavour to use the 'search' function before asking any daft questions.

Cheers

Here's quick shot from earlier. It looks like it'll need some new front tyres in a few thousand miles. I was quoted £115 for Pilot Sports, £102 for Conti's and £99 for Goodyear F1's (including fitting and balancing). I was pretty happy with that.

Here's my pride and joy

Cheers.

I've been phoning round to get prices on changing the cambelt and water pump. Any recommendations of independents in Surrey? VW quoted £469 and Autotechnic £404. I'm assuming dealers have lowered their prices to compete?
