The ability to have the indicators activated on the front only are DRL's? I had the ones on my old Touran done - it turned out it was an option in Scandinavia - and so the coding was just done and the power percentage adjusted.

I'm pretty sure I have seen a Mk5 with xenon's using the indicators as sidelights before and I believe it needed to be coded. From what I can remember you just set the indicators to a % of full brightness then when indicating they illuminate fully.
I have only seen it done on a car with xenon's and im not sure if its legal in the uk.

I have mine on at about 20%. Nice look & not too bright so the indicators are not drowned out.
