^^^^ no matey i haven't as I always use an engine cover, whether with or without a CAI i place and with the engine cover on it would be a pain to get at. A fair few peeps have though.

Be aware that once you take it off, you can't put it back on again. You have to buy and fit the whole assembly.

I know it's a bit nasty... but couldn't you stick it back on with some high temp adhesive?

I'm pretty sure you could stick it back on as its only stuck on from the factory.

so after removing the filler neck it just has the standard bayonet fitting so you can still use the same cap? if i were to make a liner with a threaded cap id just need to use high temp adhesive to make sure it says in place?
