Title: Greeny / Black grease on front wheels

I have a few spots of greeny / black grease on my front two wheels, I guess this is CV grease? Does this mean I need both CV boots replacing? If so how much should I be paying at a private garage with genuine parts?

If only 1 cv boot is cracked, id just replace the 1! I had both go within 12 mths of each other, a VW charged me bout 130 to change the 1st, an indie charged me a fair bit less for the 2nd one that went!!
