It's about the closest you're going to get, but it is a start...

-
so this is an aside from "your car damages" should it happen?
If you smash...you got
Ring Fees.....Covered by the above
Car write off fees.....Covered by your own insurance?
-
Imagine it as 3rd party cover, so everything you'd be liable for with the exception of your own car's repair costs.
8 laps is a fair amount to do in one day for anyone, so not bad really.
-
was there any final answer to insurers having to insure you because the ring is a legal highway?
-
You'll never get that answer from an insurance company and anyone who's had the time and potentially deep pockets to successfully claim has had a gag put on them as a condition, at least in the written form.
I'm not going to tell you it's all hunkey dorey, but a good read around somewhere like Northloop will give you the ability to make a judgement for yourself :happy2:

That doesn't sound like a bad policy at all to me :happy2:
Although the bit about getting your car checked at an "approved" garage sound a bit like a moneyspinner to me
-
....
That's a very useful and helpful bit of info, tony_d :happy2:
£99 for 8 laps / 1 day sounds reasonable value. I got quoted £350 for one weekend but fully comp.

35euros and only has to be done once - I guess it needs to be proven it is up to the standards of the German MOT equivalent to ensure it's road legal, and therefore insurable.

....No problem with that - I think that's absolutely fair and justifiable.
It would be useful to see a list of approved garages to know their location and then plan into a trip to The Ring.

i like this bit
•You do not participate in Racing
how do u prove u are not doing that then :stupid:
-
I think it may be a bad translation for covering the tourist days only, as on the track days the rules are different regarding barrier damage etc??

....Easy. The fact is that whatever your style of driving you are a Touristenfahrter (or whatever the German word is). You simply aren't allowed through the barrier for any properly organised race < Those are what they mean by "Racing" (methinks).
Isn't it the same as the fact that you aren't "racing" (or allowed to) on a UK track day?
:happy2:
