Just recently on 1st cold start up of the day, im having a strange 2 second whining noise , after that it doesnt do it for the rest of the day.
The only things that have changed is: Changed CAM Follower and spark plugs last weekend. Thats all though.
Anyone else had this problem / noise after changing these parts or know what it could be.
Thanks guys

Still have this issue - :popcornsoda:

Could it be the starter motor?

i have what i think is the same problem, strange noise on start up which i think is only when cold. Lasts a few seconds sometimes more then disappears. Quite a worrying noise, as if something is straining itself and about to snap or something. Wouldn't mind knowing what it is?

Any error codes?
Stater motor would be my first thought too, or seized pulley.
Perhaps a whining pump... Fuel / ABS :(
Check all fluids, connections, lines, leaks, drips and have it scanned.

Hey, did you ever get to the bottom of your whining noise on cold start up? Mines doing exactly the same as yours did. It started a week or so after I had my cambelt renewed.
