Title: Nightmare with Ed 30 Pescara wheel - can anyone help/sell me one?

Morning,

Just received a call from my wheel refurb man to let me know that one of my 18" Pescara wheels is so badly buckled that he can't straighten it...  VW are asking £598.37 (inc VAT) for 1 wheel!!!  Which I would then have to have painted to match the others...

Any suggestions??

I don't want to change the wheel type as i'm keen to keep the car standard.

I know it's a long shot but keep an eye on eBay and the like. My friend needed 2 pescaras after crashing in the snow and after a month or so found someone breaking an ed30 and nabbed 2 for £200.

You can get a full set of those Pescara alloys without the Motorsport print on them for £615 the set, I believe they were selling them individually too, can't find the thread however :(  Someone else will know, no doubt.

Failing that, as said eBay and the For Sale section on here

Yeah I know - auction ended at the weekend.. only found out about the buckled wheel this-morning and saw that i'd missed that and also a full set on gum tree..

Luckily I have a set of std 17" GTi wheels with winter tyres (very smug today!!!!) so at least i'm still mobile 'till I find a Pescara..

They aren't Pescara's as they are 8" wide. Pescara's are 7.5" and BBS centre caps don't fit.

I was in the same situation as you a year ago. I bought one off Ebay for about £85. I have a buckled one sitting in the garage now. Keep your eye out, one will come along.....
