Here you go.....

Part Numbers for OEM Eddy mats. Not cheap though.
Front: 1K2864435CWNS and 1K2864436CWNS RRP £40.50 plus VAT each.
Rear: 1K0864452BWNS and 1K0864451BWNS RRP £31.76 plus VAT each.

I bought some golf R mats from the local stealers. Were cheaper than ED 30 and Gti mats IIRC
Forget aftermarket ones, they are all pants.
-
I've been trying to source some new mats for mine from VW. The first set that came in were Black. Current ones are grey. Anyone have any pics/psrt numbers for non Edition mats.
Cheers

that was me
Just phoned up TPS Stockport - the fronts are now £41.50 Plus Vat each. No discount whatsover on these. You might get a bit off that price if you get them through someone who has a trade account though.
Its also a 7-14 day wait as they have to come from Germany.

Un.Beliveable. Even though I dont own my Eddy any more I feel a visit to my local VW is in order to staple this information to the parts manager fore head.

Nearly hundred quid for front mats!!

I bought my genuine GTI mats off eBay cause the early ones were just plain whereas new ones had the GTI bit, my car had oval studs and the mats had circle studs do I modified the mats with new clips :happy2:

With them having separate part numbers does this mean you can buy the mats individually? I have worn a hole in my drivers side mat but the other 3 are like new, VW have previously advised I had to buy a whole new set?

Just bought a new set of fronts for my Eddie from stealers at £88......very expensive but was feeling flush that day and did want to keep OEM and they are top quality :happy2:

Look great mat. Hard to tell from pic are they grey or black? Able to take a day light pic please, cheers
-
I have OE carpet and rubber mats. Keep an eye on the carpet mats as I found that when they become excessively wet they let dampness through. Mine are barely used and they do this. Summer mats really I think which is why I bought the rubber ones also.

Like the GTi logo, good quality?

I'd sat the quailty is as good as any other VW car mat
The GTI logo looks stitched in so that may wear badly, but not 100%
I bought them second hand and the wear on the drivers mat was barely noticeable so I'm very pleased!!
Remember though if you have twist/oval studs you need to change the clips as these where the newer circular stud fitment.
Sorry at OP for thread jumping with all of this :ashamed:
-
awesome gti do some mats for the GTI MKV
i probably get from there, just under £40 for the set.

will these GTI mats fit correctly and work for using in a ed30?
-
As above man, depends on studs but you can change clips on mat! Have a look at your cars fixings and see if they are oval or round!
So yeah, it will fit but MAY need modifying! :happy2:
-
My gti had those mats from the factory, they are starting to look a bit tatty now no holes or anything but they are rather grey. cant complain to say they are nearly 7 years old covering nearly 60k.
-
has anyone got pics of the rear GTI mats?

-

That's what I want, but maybe they will do an Edition 30 Motif instead...?
-
I just got some fronts in black with "Golf" from ebay for £32 delivered. Genuine OEM too
-
is there any difference between the edition 30 mats and the gti ones pictured in this thread?
-

The ED30 mats have a thick red band around the edge of the mat and don't say GTI
-
ah ok do they not say edition 30 or something? :(

Not that I am aware of!
-
The gti mats match the ed30 btter because they have red stiching around the matt. Which thr ed30 has also around its interior
-
Try the Golf R mats, cheaper still, edged in silver/grey with a nice 'R' logo.
-
I got cheap and chearful fitted ones from amazon

I hate car mats. I never use one on the drivers side (so it's always pristine when I sell lol)... it harks back to having a mat trapped on the accelerator of my first car; god knows how, probably hooning it and it slipped on, but it happened and scared me for life, lol! :scared:

That's the reason they have clips now :happy2:

There's no .:R logo on my mats. I think the mats you are referring to are the ones you can buy from the dealers as a retro fit offered on the MK5 R32. They come in Black with a Silver or Blue edging and an .:R logo!

Don't trust no clip
Also, probably a lot less likely with the Golf's accelerator designed how it is... not risking it though, haha.

Fair enough...must have been sh*t scary. Yeah not likely to happen on the floor mounted pedal.
